Bought this ring assuming engraved stainless steel would hold up well to regular wear. It's a very cute ring, but within a week the black in the engraved words, which really makes the ring, peeled out--it appears to be some kind of plastic or latex paint, as the letters peeled out intact. So now it looks scruffy with some letters dark and some light (once missing its paint, the engraving lost all of its impact and much of its charm).

With that in mind, I cannot recommend this ring, though it is quite cute.
