I purchased this ring because of the great reviews and because Tungsten Carbide was sold as basically indestructible. I was surprised to see how nice and well polished this ring was for the price I paid. It is a very high quality ring, it fits great, and it has a nice weight to it. As others have reported, I exchanged my ring for a smaller size and got great customer service.

I have been wearing it for about 2 months now and true to it's description it has retained it's polished finish and has not scratched at all. I wore it all through my honeymoon and at work where it is in constant contact with other hard surfaces and metals, It has held up well. I guess I must have gotten a little too confident about my 'Indestructible' ring because a few days ago it developed a hairline fracture and a noticeable chip.

After doing some research on chipped Tungsten Carbide rings, it turns out that this is not a flaw or defect, it is just a property of the metal. While it is very hard and will not scratch unless in contact with something as hard or harder than itself (such as diamond); it is also very brittle. It has been described to behave more like marble than a metal.

Unfortunately the seller Sabrina Silver only warrants these rings for 30 days. However, even with my new knowledge I would still purchase this ring again. I was not able to find such a nice simple Tungsten ring in any of the jewelry shops I looked at, and especially nothing at this price point. When this one breaks completely or becomes unwearable I will probably purchase a second, But I will be sure to be a little more careful with it.
